Full Engagement, Full Usage, Full Benefits
Our Story
As Top 10 law firm program managers and program business leads we have delivered solutions across the legal landscape.
We believe that many projects fall short of the benefits promised in the business case.
Firms spend lots of time and money implementing new products but rarely spend enough time ensuring usage is embedded and benefits are delivered.
It became clear that there was a need for these services without employing permanent experts.
We stepped back and realised we wanted;
Ultimately, we wanted the maximum 'best practice' usage of the processes/applications we were delivering to ensure the maximum benefits for the firm.
Our Approach
Too little thought is given to the impact of the existing roles when introducing new/changed processes/applications.
Yet a perceived negative impact will reduce quality usage and lose all the benefits you hope to achieved.
We use bespoke tools and profiling to quickly understand impacts to roles & individuals when setting requirements and choosing products.
Users learn when they want/need to use.
Hard core pre-live training is sometimes necessary for back-office support but infrequent and front office users need a different approach.
To maximise usage we set up approaches that peak when end users need them.
Who provides help when the projects end & people go back to their day jobs?
We've found building knowledge & then a self-supporting culture within the PA pool provides lawyers with long-lasting on-hand support.
Also, PAs get to learn new skills that allows them to get involved in different areas.
Why do firms start from scratch when projects (new clients/matters, time, pricing, CRM, PMS, reporting projects etc.) all follow well-trod paths?
Slightly different products are implemented but all have similar features & user experience.
Our approach, borne over a combined 40 years of legal delivery, provides a flexible blueprint that offers a 'best practice' solution that can be updated to reflect an individual firm's cultural nuances.
During change users are often worried about the changes the new application/process will bring, and are concentrating on being able to do their core job.
This makes it a bad time to introduce new capabilities & concepts as they often get lost.
Change is often more effective as a two stage process allowing a degree of user comfort before revisiting, analysing usage patterns & increasing benefits by targeted training on specific capabilities.
Firms often look to application change to increase benefits.
Often these benefits are more to do with processes & behaviours than application capabilities.
We can review how you are currently using your current technology, and advise on whether you can save a lot of time and money by implementing improvements immediately.
The current period has reinforced the power of simple communication and demonstrated how exceptions/different routes de-rail the message.
Powerful messaging that drives the behavioural changes that bring the biggest business benefits.
